MLD is a treatment of the lymph system proposed in the 1930s by Dr.Emil Vodder. The lymph system performs a role of collecting waste accumulating in the body, and when harmful substances enter the body, fights those harmful substances and extracts them from the body. A blockage of the flow of lymph can cause a variety of disorders in the body, resulting in swelling or risks to good health. The lymph ducts are unable to work on their own power but instead rely upon surrounding muscle or the pulse of blood vessels. Therefore, a person maintaining the same posture for long periods may experience swelling in the legs.

MLD assists the function of lymph by working on the lymph system. Its characteristic is its very soft and rhythmic touch, which may be why it has a unique sensation unlike other treatments. Our salon treatment is based on Dr. Vodder’s original method. Especially recommended for those who worried about swelling, this treatment is also recommended for anyone suffering stress or finding it difficult to give the nerves a rest.

　Our technique is based on the original method of Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage(MLD). Not to mention Dr. Vodder’s MLD is good for the reduction of dropsy, it is said that Dr. Vodder’s MLD is conspicuous the quiet relaxed effect acquired by calming the sympathetic nervous system and the healing effect to the immune system by working on the lymphatic system.

１）Semmyo Kaori Original MLD 　This is our original menu giving full play to effect of the relaxed action to the nervous system. It can be experienced only in this salon. Please try this menu as “high-quality relaxation”. This treatment carry out from the neck, the occipital region and the back (the spine circumference).
２）Special MLD 　 Relaxed effect sufficient with basic menu is acquired. With this special menu, you can add the especially anxious part every 20 minutes to the basic menu (40 minutes). I recommend when you feel seriously tired, and have the part intensively want to recover (the dropsy of a leg, tension of the belly, dropsy of a face, etc.).

*The treatment for the primary lymphedema, and the secondary lymphedema need the Medical certification of treatment permission of a medical doctor with it.
